The latest updates and spoilers for "Thor: Ragnarok" feature the members of Team Thor in a new Tv Spot and Karl Urban revealed Skurge's reason for joining Hela.

Team Thor assemble

The new TV spot for "Thor: Ragnarok" features the members of Thor Odinson's ragtag group that will save Asgard from the clutches of Hela, the Goddess of Death. The team will consist of the Thunder God himself, his step brother Loki, the Incredible Hulk, and Valkyrie. All four characters will meet in Sakaar as Thor faces Hulk in a gladiator arena, while Loki looks on as one of the guests of the Grandmaster.

Valkyrie works as the Grandmaster's bounty hunter and she searches for powerful beings as worthy contenders for his arena.

Thor and his friends soon escape Sakaar and travel back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok from happening. The Tv spot also highlights Valyrie's battle armor, Hulk's clash with the Fenris Wolf, and Thor using the Odin force. Doctor Strange will also appear in the film as he helps Thor find Odin in New York after Hela and Loki banished him from Asgard.

There is also the possibility that the Soul Stone will make its presence known in the film and it is theorized that it will be found inside Heimdall, Hela, or Mjolnir.

Skurge's betrayal

Karl Urban revealed more details about his character Skurge in "Thor: Ragnarok" as he told Los Angeles Times that the latter's reason for joining Hela was all about "survival."

"Skurge quickly realizes that he is either has to join her or die," Urban said.

"he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's bright enough to make the right choice for him. He's a survivalist."

Urban's character in the sequel is stationed at the Bifrost bridge replacing Heimdall as its gatekeeper. Skurge knows how powerful Hela is and that he is willing to sell out his allies to save his own neck. Skurge in the comics was a known associate of Amora the Enchantress and has earned the title "Executioner" for his brutality when defeating his enemies in battle.

The sequel will also set-up Thor's fateful meeting with the Guardians of the Galaxy as they are headed to Earth to assist the Avengers against Thanos and his Black Order in "Avengers: Infinity War." Thanos' goal is to collect all of the Infinity Stones and remake the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe in his own image.

There is also speculation that the Thunder God will receive a new Mjolnir hammer in the film based on the Ultimate Mjolnir in the comics.

The sequel will premiere on Nov. 3.
