The long wait is almost over for the return of the mega-popular television series "Supernatural" which will be coming back to the small screens once again for its 13th season. While a bunch of fan-made theories has already rolled in the headlines these past few weeks, the recent claim suggests that a former well-loved character from the first few seasons has been potentially considered for a comeback in season 13.

Some characters who had bid farewell during the earlier chapters of the series have been speculated to return in the new installment.

However, recent reports say that former cast member John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will also be coming into view real soon to complete the final casting of "Supernatural" season 13, as per TV Web.

Is this true?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played the role as the head of the Winchester clan, has been potentially considered for a comeback after admitting that he would definitely love to return to the show and work with his on-screen sons, Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) and Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) if given the opportunity to do so.

In the middle of whispers and rumors about Morgan's possibility of joining "Supernatural" season 13, The CW has yet to confirm the claims and the actor did not directly drop any confirmation about his character's participation in the show.

While everything remains nothing but a speculation until the network and series creators give the green light, Morgan has made his reasons clear on why he wants John Winchester to return in the new season.

"I certainly hope that at some point not only will John return in some capacity." said the 51-year old "The Walking Dead" star.

"But I think that Sam and Dean need to have some closure with this guy and I think that John would like the opportunity to have some closure, and I think you, the audience, deserves it."

Here's why season 13 is a bad start for the Winchesters

There are only a few nights left until "Supernatural" season 13 hits the screen once again and fans are getting ready to witness the Winchester brothers' new beginning after the two heroes lost their friends while trying to win their battle against Lucifer (Michael Pellegrino) during the finale of season 12.

Though they succeeded in the fight against Lucifer, Sam and Dean already knew that it wasn't going to end there. Despite their best efforts in eliminating Lucifer's baby at the time, the child survived and transformed into a teenager a few minutes after he was born.

Judging from how the last minute scene was wrapped, the predictions suggest that Lucifer's son will portray a very important role in the Winchesters' lives. However, everything remains nothing but a speculation until "Supernatural" season 13 begins airing on Thursday, October 12.
