The paparazzi caught nene leakes on Thursday morning and asked "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star what she thought about Jennifer Lawrence claiming that she was a "producer" of the Bravo reality series. The reality star shut down Lawrence's joke, saying she had no power over who would be fired.

The actress is very close friends with the show producer

In case you missed it, Jennifer Lawrence made an appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon and the two spoke about their common love for reality television. The actress recently admitted during a magazine interview that she watched "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" religiously to get her mind off of work while she was on set filming her new movie, "Mother!"

Jennifer told Fallon that she was very close with "The Real Housewives"' producer Andy Cohen, adding that she guessed she was "kind of a producer" of the show at this point.

"I would call us colleagues," she seemingly joked.

Jimmy tried to jump in and say that he was close with Cohen as well but she snapped back and asked if he texted Andy all the time or actually made "a difference in the show" like she did.

The late-night talk show host asked Lawrence to explain and she said that the fate of one of the stars was kind of in her hands.

Jennifer Lawrence has been close friends with Andy Cohen for years, so while it may not be true that she is an official producer of any of "The Real Housewives" shows, she could still be influencing him.

NeNe says no

TMZ spotted "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes on Thursday morning and asked what her thoughts were about the actress' comments.

When the paparazzi asked her who she thought Jennifer Lawrence should fire, she responded that she "didn't know" that she was a producer.

The reality star was then asked whether she would be concerned with Lawrence giving Andy Cohen advice on who to hire and fire from the "Housewives." She answered with a simple "no."

Leakes told the reporters that she was always "down to work with anybody" and would be open to working with Lawrence in Hollywood sometime in the future.

NeNe rejoined the cast of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" this season, presenting a newly slimmed down physique to the viewers. She starred on the Bravo series from Season 1 until Season 7, appeared briefly in Season 8, and will come back as a regular cast member for Season 10.

Do you think Jennifer Lawrence has any influence over the decisions Andy Cohen makes as a producer of "The Real Housewives" series?
