Special agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Tim McGee (Sean Murray) were left stranded in Paraguay in “NCIS” Season 14 finale episode. The duo sent their chopper away to save the lives of the children they had rescued from captivity after a troop of rebels started attacking them.

While Harmon is still reprising his role in the upcoming fifteenth installment, recent reports claim that his age could possibly force him to limit his appearance in the popular CBS series. The news came weeks after it was revealed that Leroy and Tim have become the insurgents’ new hostages in “NCIS” Season 15.

Is Harmon leaving the show?

Rumors have it that Mark Harmon’s frail health condition might prevent him from doing action scenes. The 65-year-old actor is reportedly partaking in a lot less field work in “NCIS” Season 15.

Radar Online previously claimed that Harmon’s advanced age and potentially failing health might force him to retire from acting. An unnamed insider even told the publication that the actor had already informed his wife, Pam Dawber, that the imminent installment could possibly be his last.

“He seems to have a lot less energy. When he isn’t working, he spends much of the time holed up inside his house,” the same source claimed. The tipster added that it is very unusual for Mark Harmon since he is the athletic and active type.

Jennifer Esposito, who portrayed the role of Alex Quinn, previously announced that she is leaving the show after being a series regular for just one season. Last year, Michael Weatherly has also revealed his departure from “NCIS” after 13 years.

Mark Harmon has yet to confirm or deny the rumors claiming that he might limit his appearance in “NCIS” Season 15.

Therefore, avid followers of the popular TV series should take these speculations lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
