Right now, nothing is yet final for the upcoming big screen reboot of "Charlie’s Angels." The remake will be directed by Elizabeth Banks, who was also the director of the blockbuster hit "Pitch Perfect 2." The script for the movie will be rewritten by “Narcos” creators Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard. “Charlie’s Angels” is an action-comedy film based on the television series of the same name created and directed by Ivan Golf. The action-comedy series already received a reboot in the early 2000s with Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu as the lead roles.
The action movie became a smash hit with $264 million in ticket sales worldwide. Sony Pictures is planning to release the movie on June 7, 2019.
Kristen Stewart to play one of the lead roles
According to Variety, casting is underway for the upcoming remake of "Charlie’s Angels." According to the outlet, the “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart, is being considered to be cast in the movie. Furthermore, the 27-year old actress is rumored to be playing one of the female detectives. When asked about the rumors, Kristen and her manager declined to comment.

According to Forbes, Kristen was listed as the highest-earning female actress with an estimated $34.5 million earnings in 2012.
Lupita Nyong’o considered to be one of the ‘Angels’
Lupita Amondi Nyong’o is a Kenyan-Mexican actress who appeared in the movies "12 Years Slave" (2013), "Non-Stop" (2014), and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (2015).
Nyong’o won the Oscar for the “Best Supporting Actress” for her role in the movie "12 Years a Slave." The 34-year old actress has two hotly-anticipated projects in the pipeline; "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and the Disney’s superhero film, "Black Panther."
In addition to Kristen Stewart, the “Oscar-winner” actress is being eyed also to star in the highly anticipated remake of “Charlie’s Angels.” According to rumors, Nyong’o is considered to be playing one of the female detective roles. Aside from Stewart and Nyong’o, several names of Hollywood stars are also being rumored to be cast in the remake movie including, Janelle Mona, Jennifer Lawrence, and Anna Kendrick.
