Katy Perry held her “Witness: The Tour” concert at Ppg Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 22, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. Her concert showcased spectacular set pieces that included gigantic poker chips and game dice.

Perry glamorously entered the PPG Paints Arena stage designed to shape like an eye, amid lighting effects and smokescreen. Miley Cyrus’ younger sister Noah also opened “Witness: The Tour” by covering Lady Gaga hits.

The singer’s Concert Tour follows her previous set of performances in 2014 to 2015, “Prismatic World Tour.” The setlist for this year’s tour features songs from her latest album, “Witness.” These songs include “Bon Appetit,” “Swish Swish,” and “Roulette.”

She is also performing some of her greatest hits from her previous album, such as “Dark Horse,” “Teenage Dream,” “Last Friday Night,” “California Gurls,” and “Tsunami.” The entire concert also included ballad versions and electronic music.

Gigantic props

One of the most remarkable moments of her concert tour in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was her performance of “Roulette” around gigantic props inspired by casino game pieces. She wore a plain red jumpsuit and climbed large-sized props as she belted out her hit song.

Then, Perry went on to perform “Dark Horse” and “Chained to the Rhythm” with a production inspired by postmodern concepts. Her backup dancers wore distinctive costumes with makeshift television boxes covering their entire heads.

From the concert’s dreamy atmosphere, it transformed into an energetic and summer-inspired production with her performance “California Gurls.” Mascot Left Shark was featured alongside the singer with surfboards and trees as background.

Left Shark previously appeared in her performance during a Super Bowl event.

Criticism on Twitter

Another noteworthy part of her concert was Katy Perry’s cover of Janet Jackson’s hit, “What Have You Done For Me Lately.” She wore elaborate black-and-white ensemble as she sang this 1986 hit song.

However, fans did not like this particular performance and tweeted negative comments about it, Teen Vogue reported.

Netizen Alexander Hardy said, “Katy covered Janet and I want to speak to a manager.”

“Witness: The Tour” continues in various other locations in North America. There are upcoming performances in Columbus, Ohio on September 24; Washington D.C.

on September 25; and in Boston, Massachusetts on September 29 and 30.

The singer will also head to California, Utah, Colorado and New York. Starting in May 2018, she will visit different cities in Europe for this concert tour.
