After just a four month engagement, the latest couple in the Duggar clan got married when Joseph Duggar, 23, wed his fiancee Kendra Caldwell, 19. The nuptials for the couple took place at the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The couple was surrounded by their family, and the Duggars even made a video wishing them well. So far five of the Duggar kids have married, and now Joseph brings the total to six. Previously the couple had a cuddly courtship that was said to have gotten intimate.

Duggar family welcomes new member

ABC News reported that the Duggars posted on their website that Joseph and Kendra wed on Friday.

In the message, the family announced: "Joe and Kendra are Married!!" The family said that it was an amazing and exciting day for their family. It concluded that the family was happy to share the day with them and looked forward to the amazing days the Lord had for them. The engagement began on the day that Duggar's sister Jo-Anne married. That was the day that Joseph proposed to Kendra. Their initial courtship began in March. Mexican food and ice cream the night before

In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Joseph said that it was an amazing feeling for him to be married.

He looked forward to seeing what God had in store for him and his new wife, and he had always wanted to marry and raise a family in a way that honors the Lord. While the groom and his groomsmen wore blush colored ties, the bride wore a Renee Miller jeweled top with a princess skirt. The wedding colors included soft yellow, hints of burgundy, and navy.

There were 22 people in the wedding party with brother Josiah serving as the best man while his other six brothers served as the groomsmen. Kendra's sister was the maid-of-honor. Duggar has also talked about his first kiss with Kendra and said it was amazing.

The night before the wedding the couple held a rehearsal dinner where they ate Mexican food and ice cream.

At the reception, held in a local gym, wedding attendees ate cupcakes and salty snack food and drank coffee against the backdrop of a fun and festive theme. US Magazine reported that the couple met in church when they were young. They became friends and then began dating. Their courtship became official in March. After their engagement, the couple wrote on the family website that they were happy that the Lord had brought them together, and they looked forward to a life of serving Christ as husband and wife. Joseph's parents also penned a sweet note on the website after their engagement expressing their joy for the couple.
