Popular hard rock band Guns N’ Roses is flying to Brazil to perform in the annual Rio music festival. The event kicked off on September 15 and had featured both Brazilian and international artists.

Rock In Rio” musical festival brings together various artists that include Maroon 5, Shawn Mendes, Thirty Seconds To Mars, 5 Seconds of Summer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alicia Keys, and Aerosmith. It will also include artists such as Def Leppard and Fergie, their official website indicated.

The concert shows run from 2 p.m. until past midnight. The first batch was held from September 15 to September 17, while the second and final batch is being held from September 21 to September 24.

Guns N’ Roses

The famous hard rock music group is slated to perform their greatest hits in front of Brazilian fans on September 23. They will perform with other artists such as Incubus, The Who, and Titas.

Guns N’ Roses has produced a number of chart-topping hits throughout their career. These songs include “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “November Rain,” “Welcome To The Jungle,” and “Paradise City.”

They will hit the Palco Mundo stage in The Rio music festival. This stage hosts the international performances during the two-week long event.

On September 24, the last day of the festival, the performers will include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Thirty Seconds To Mars, The Offspring and Capital Inicial. It will be an event featuring different musical genres that include contemporary, rock, street-style and electronic.

Previous Performances

Canadian singer Shawn Mendes graced the stage of “Rock In Rio” on Saturday, September 16, Just Jared Jr. reported. Mendes was wearing a printed blue polo shirt that accentuated his bright smile and powerful voice in the festival. He brought his acoustic guitar on stage as he rendered his songs such as “Stitches” from his debut album “Handwritten.”

This Canadian music icon started as an online sensation, and after he was discovered from posting covers on video-sharing app Vine, he has attracted several followers in 2013.

His first album “Handwritten” earned a spot in the top 10 of global hit charts.

Furthermore, his second discography named “Illuminate” garnered the top one spot on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, making Mendes one of the youngest singers to earn this honor. His other songs include “Treat You Better,” “Mercy,” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

Black Eyed Peas member Fergie was also present in the Rio music festival. The 42-year-old singing sensation also sang with the Brazilian fans as they danced to the rhythm of her song on stage, InStyle reported.
