Ever since Arie Luyendyk Jr. was announced as "The Bachelor" 2018 the fans have been wondering who he is and about him. Arie is actually from a past season of "The Bachelorette," but a lot of fans don't even realize that about him. Arie was on Emily Maynard's season and made it clear to the end. She picked Jef Holm over him, but that didn't work out. Emily is now married to a man she met at church.

What does Arie do and who is he?

Arie turned 36 in September, which makes him one of the older guys they have had as "The Bachelor." Arie is a race car driver and also a real estate agent.

He has been focusing on real estate recently. Arie's dad is a bit more famous than him when it comes to racing, though. He is the son of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk. He was born in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.

He was born in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. Arie Luyendyk Jr. was just two-years-old when he moved to the United States, so of course, he doesn't really remember not living here, but he is bilingual.

About Arie's season of "The Bachelorette"

Arie Luyendyk Jr. was called the "kissing bandit" on his season of the show. While on "The Bachelorette," he was constantly trying to sneak in a kiss with Emily. It will be interesting to see if he ends up kissing a lot of girls on his season.

They have talked to Arie several times over the years about doing the show as "The Bachelor," but for some reason, it didn't work out until now.

It looks like they waited for the perfect time and maybe this will mean that he will find love. Arie seems excited about it. The new season has already started filming, but won't actually air until January. Reality Steve will be giving out spoilers like he always is, though. So far, Arie has just gone on a few dates.

When Arie was on "The Bachelorette," he was a fan favorite it has just been a really long time since he was on the show.

If you haven't been watching the show a long time, then you might not remember him, but hopefully, everyone goes into this season with an open mind and gets to know Arie.
