fear The Walking Dead premiered back in 2015. It’s been over two years since the zombie-apocalypse drama has been bringing valued ratings to AMC network. While expecting a similar result this time as well, the network announced the renewal of the show for a third season. Devout viewers were delighted to discover the exciting story-line when show-runners premiered its trailer at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego. As reported by Den of Geek, official pictures of the series have also been posted online.

Everything to know about the third season

The report even suggests that the third season’s first episode will be divided into two parts, and will be almost two hours long.

To be aired on September 10 at 9 pm EST, the show will keep the fans occupied for the following three weekends with the latest three episodes. These episodes are titled, “Minotaur,” “Diviner,” and “La Serpiente,” respectively. The third season is expected to conclude with “Brother’s Keeper,” but the showrunners haven’t mentioned any specific date for the airing of its finale. Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg will be returning as show-runners with “Fear of The Walking Dead’s” third season.

Is this the show's ending?

As pointed by Comic Book, it was rumored that the TV series might meet its end soon, especially because its ratings had begun to fall. The first season was a massive hit, with roughly 10.13 million viewers being generated.

The second season was a true disappointment, as a massive fall of merely 3.05 million viewers was recorded. The first half of the third season which aired during the beginning of this year only managed to garner around 2.75 million viewers. This surprisingly hasn’t dropped the show’s ratings on “Rotten Tomatoes” down, as it still stands strong at 84 per cent.

According to a report by Metro, the showrunners are also apparently planning the show’s spin-off in the form of a fourth season. What exactly its story-line will spiral out to be, is something that is not known as of yet. The official pictures of the show reveal a vibrant yet violent setting at US-Mexico border. The main protagonist’s family is seen together for the first time after long.

Madison and Travis, played by actors Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis respectively are finally seen coming together. The latest season will also focus on Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) who is currently coping up with Andres’ loss. A new leadership is expected to assume control in the little town of Ranch. More information regarding this will be revealed with the airing of the third season.
