Just a few weeks after Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast, a good number of big name celebrities were spotted on site in different areas around Houston giving their support in the relief effort. Some of the celebrities that were spotted in the area included Houston natives Beyoncé and Jennifer Garner. Meanwhile, Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul and comedian Kevin Hart were also spotted lending a hand at the Houston Food Bank.

Destiny's Child mini-reunion

Late last week, Beyonce along with her mother Tina Knowles and her former Destiny's Child band mate Michelle Williams were spotted at St.

John’s Church talking to the victims and giving out different supply items. The singer also addressed a group of victims and mentioned to them how Houston is also her home and how she was thankful that everyone in the crowd was safe.

Extended support

Beyoncé's mother also shared a video on social media and talked about how her daughter had personally arranged to feed at least 400 people that were affected by the disaster. The singer's own foundation, BeyGOOD foundation, has also expressed its intention of helping out the residents of the affected areas by providing different supplies such as wheelchairs, beds, tents, food, and medicine.

Star studded effort

Meanwhile, at the Houston Food Bank, Kevin Hart along with Demi Lovato and Chris Paul was spotted serving meals to the victims of the hurricane.

The celebrities also posted inspiring messages on their respective social media accounts that urged their colleagues to help out with the disaster relief effort. Singer Janet Jackson also took some time off from her 56-city State of the World Tour to help out. While Jennifer Lopez might not have gone to Houston to physically help out, she and her boyfriend A-Rod had announced a $50,000 donation to help out the victims of the flooding.

The couple also urged their friends on social media to do the same and give what they can to help out.

A special telethon event to raise funds is also scheduled to take place on Sept. 12, which will be attended by different celebrities. The funds that will be raised will be put towards helping the hurricane victims as well as to help those who have been recently affected by Hurricane Irma. Oprah Winfrey, Dwayne Johnson, Justin Bieber, George Clooney, Beyoncé, and Nicole Kidman are just some of the big name celebrities that have already signed on to appear on the telethon event.
