Award-winning Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie recently sat in an interview with The Telegraph. The 42-year-old actress revealed her thoughts about being single once again.

Jolie ended the relationship with her long-time husband, actor Brad Pitt and has been living the life of a single mother to her kids for around a year now. The two were together for more than a decade and were married for two years. They separated in September 2016.

The actress told The Telegraph’s Sunday edition that she does not enjoy being single. She has also been dealing with all the negativity that this new chapter of life has given her.

She said, “It’s been difficult. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard.”

Adopted children

Jolie and Pitt are known for their diverse family. Three of their children were adopted and three others are their biological children. They are: Maddox Chivan, Pax Thien, Zahara Marley, Shiloh Nouvel, Knox Leon, and Vivienne Marcheline.

Maddox Chivan was born in Cambodia, Pax Thien was born in Vietnam, and Zahara Marley was born in Ethiopia. These are their adopted children.

Shiloh Nouvel was born in Namibia. Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline were born in France. They are their biological children. Their youngest daughter is now nine years old, The Sun reported.

The award-winning actress told The Telegraph that it may appear that she can handle everything and pull the challenges together, but she is just trying to get through her days.

Aside from accepting the fact that she is now away from her husband, she has also been dealing with her health issues.

Health issues

Jolie has faced some health conditions in the past and underwent a double mastectomy procedure in 2013. Two years ago, she was operated on for ovarian removal. Earlier this year, she revealed that she has new health challenges, as she has been diagnosed with hypertension and Bell’s palsy.

The UK-based publication reported that it has been a difficult year for the actress. Jolie revealed that sometimes, she feels that her body is stressed, but she tries to laugh every now and then.

“Even if you are going through chemo, you need to find the ability to love and laugh. It may sound like a postcard, but it’s true,” Jolie added.

She currently has very few, and possibly even no upcoming projects lined up, so she is focused on taking care of herself and her family. She also added that she plans to rediscover her old self, as this will help her develop and grow.
