The first "Deadpool" movie was released in early 2016. Starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool himself, the film was an instant hit. It's a film filled with wit, satire and oddly endearing characters and it won the hearts of people around the world. So, it is of little surprise that a "Deadpool 2" is soon to be on the circuit. In fact, actors such as Reynolds and Josh Brolin began in June this year. "Deadpool 2" is expected to be released in June 2018. However, while filming on Tuesday morning, disaster struck. One of the female stunt drivers was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident.

The matter is currently under investigation. Reynolds has since posted a heartbreaking tribute to the driver.

What happened?

On Tuesday morning, the crew was filming in Vancouver. According to The Independent, the female Stunt Driver was standing on her bike when it went airborne. She could perhaps have driven over a ramp. As she was standing on her motor cycle it seems as though she lost control and went through the glass of the Shaw Tower in the Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver.

The Sun has said that onlookers initially thought that the crash was part of the scene. It was only later, when medical personnel and crew members rushed over to the shattered glass that they realized that a terrible accident had occurred.

The police reported that the woman was found dead on the scene. No further statements have been made about the incident and it seems as though the matter is currently under investigation.

Ryan Reynolds' statement

Reynolds took to Twitter to voice his grief and condolences. The actor told the Twitterverse how terribly sad he was about the loss of such a talented woman.

He sent his condolences to her family, adding that his, "heart pours out to them - along with each and every person she touched in this world."

This is the second time this week that someone has been injured while filming a major movie. On Monday, Tom Cruise misjudged a jump while on set in London and ended up badly injuring his leg.

He missed his jump and slammed into a building. He was later seen limping as the crew members helped him off set.

Our hearts are right there with Ryan Reynold's heart. Our greatest condolences go out to the family of the female stunt driver and we will be holding them in our prayers during this difficult time. Let us hope that no such further incidents occur and that the filming industry has many more hours of safe filming!
