Together, Derek Hale and Stiles Stilinski could give the burgeoning hunters of Teen Wolf a run for their money. After all, the pair has become two of the series’ most elusive characters.

Possessed of two diametrically opposed personalities, the snarky teen and his brooding lycanthropic counterpart are guaranteed scene-stealers. However irregular their appearances, the duo is officially back in action for “Teen Wolf”’s sixth and final season. Yet with Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) ready to suit up as a baby G-Man (i.e. an intern) and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) auditioning for the werewolf version of “Fugitive,” their futures are hazy.

At San Diego Comic-Con last month, series creator Jeff Davis dusted off his crystal ball to give fans a glimpse at what’s next.

Stiles & Derek’s ‘Teen Wolf’ future

First and foremost, we need to know one thing – is Derek really a mass murderer? If the line “We’re predators, we don’t have to be killers” isn’t currently backing your mental montage of all the times Derek has tried to avoid spilling blood, you’d be remiss. Something doesn’t add up, and it looks like Stiles will need to resurrect his murder board in order to dredge up the truth.

“It’s a way to connect his story with Sitles’, actually,” Davis told TV Guide. “You’ll have to wait a few episodes to see exactly why, but they come together at a critical point in the season.”

In the meantime, Derek will head for the border at full tilt, as per TVLine.

His destination? South America. Is he perhaps planning to meet up with a certain were-jaguar? They are locked in a never-ending cycle of attempted murder, but the crisis in Beacon Hills could turn enemies into friends.

Kate Argent returns to ‘Teen Wolf’

Drawing “Teen Wolf” full circle, the Argents have returned in a major way.

While Gerard continues cooking up trouble on the homefront, Kate (Jill Wagner) will make her inevitable return. And no, her story will not be a one-off.

“Having Jill Wagner back for a couple of episodes and seeing her have so much fun playing Kate again, it was really fun for us,” Davis told Entertainment Weekly, adding that he didn’t want the final run to be just a slew of cameos.

“We were always trying to go for more meaningful ways we could bring back the characters.”

What is Kate up to? Will her story intersect with that of Derek and Stiles? Find out when “Teen Wolf” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
