George Lucas and Star Wars may no longer be together officially but the creator of the space opera series can never stay away from its creation. Of course, he has sold Lucasfilm to Walt Disney but he is always there for his film. Recently, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy revealed that Lucas keeps giving suggestions especially about Jedi training and similar things. Well, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is set to release at the end of this year and the film is on the top of the social media buzz with fans extremely excited about its arrival.

Ideas of Lucas still provide foundation

At the Star Wars Celebrations held early this year, Kathleen Kennedy was asked about George Lucas and if he still gives ideas for the stories and the films. In response, she said that he does not really give ideas but he keeps suggesting things like Jedi training and the like. She also said that some of his ideas still serve as the foundation and they include the idea of handing over the heroism to a new group of characters.

Elaborating on the topic, Kennedy explained that Lucas has begun to settle into the idea that he is also a fan of the series. Though the letting go part has taken some time, he is shifting into the new domain. The idea of having the next generation handling things that he came up with is in process.

The Last Jedi turns a new leaf

Well, just like Lucas is looking to take himself out of the ring, Luke will also be doing the same in the upcoming “The Last Jedi.” It sees Rey returning Luke the lightsaber of his family and the former is completely shocked when he finds out that Luke does not want to return to the fight. Even director Rian Johnson has said that the upcoming film will only ratify the pledge that Luke took regarding knowing only one truth that the time has come for Jedi to end.
