When Justin Bieber canceled the final leg of his 2017 "Purpose" tour, a lot of his fans were disappointed and somewhat shocked. Some noticed that his decision was eerily similar to that of his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, who also bailed out in the middle of her tour to get some much needed personal space and to deal with her health issues. Bieber's "Purpose" tour cancellation sparked speculations that he tried to get in touch with Selena Gomez after making the controversial decision. Although both parties have yet to confirm if there was indeed a reconnection that transpired between the former flames, fans became concerned about The Weeknd's stand on the issue.

However, it seems like all is well between Selena Gomez and The Weeknd as the couple was recently spotted out on a date on Friday. According to Entertainment Tonight, they were spotted laughing their hearts out at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood, California.

Just for laughs

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd both have very tight schedules, especially the former, who is in the middle of releasing new singles from her new album. However, they still managed to clear their schedules for some quality time and this time, they chose to laugh the tiredness and stress away by spending time together at the Laugh Factory.

In the photo obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd were seated in the upper mezzanine of the comedy club, an area known as the private seating section for VIPs.

The couple looked relaxed and were all smiles throughout their date.

Funny lineup

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, enjoyed performances from several well-known comedians like Tacarra Williams, Chris Redd and Max Amini, Raj Sharma and Jonathan Kite from "2 Broke Girls." Williams shared a video of herself with Selena Gomez on Instagram and shared to her followers that the "Bad Liar" singer thought she was hilarious.

The recent public appearance of Gomez and Tesfaye can be considered as a relief for the fans, who were beginning to worry that they might have some trouble in their relationship because of Justin Bieber. Although Gomez and The Weeknd's relationship is still relatively new, the former was already gushing about their relationship in several interviews. According to In Style, the 25-year old singer revealed that she feels so lucky to be in a relationship with Tesfaye because they treat each other like best friends.
