The 12th season of “America’s Got Talent” just finished its second quarterfinals, with stunning vocal performances from the contestants. The hit reality talent show on television featured various acts competing for the title on Tuesday night, including technical glitches and a confrontation between two judges.

After the breathtaking round of live eliminations last week, a new set of talented performers graced the “America’s got talentStage to compete for the seven remaining spots in the competition. There were moments of error from some of acts, but that did not stop the show from being spectacular.

There were two notable performances from singers who showcased their talents, as they provide renditions of famous songs. Nine-year-old singer Celine Tam, and Johnny Manuel were praised for their incredible voices and show-stopping acts.

Intense vocal acts

Nine-year-old Celine Tam, who hails from Hong Kong bravely showed off her talent during the quarterfinals of “America’s Got Talent.” She offered viewers her personal rendition of “When You Believe,” drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

The proud recipient of the Golden Buzzer however, received mixed reactions from the judges. Former “Spice Girls” Mel B told her that the chosen song sounded too huge for her little voice. Meanwhile, Simon Cowell was impressed of her performance, and disagreed with Mel B.

He said that “big songs” fit her.

Aside from Tam, there was another singer that wowed the judges that night. Johnny Manuel, who comes from Michigan, offered a rendition of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” by Jennifer Holliday. Fox News reported that his former recording studio dropped him one day, but he is looking forward to picking himself up and using this opportunity to bring his career back.

Mel B walks away

It is also worth noting that one of the judges during the quarterfinals had her share of show-stopping moments on stage. Mel B was seen on television throwing her drink at co-judge Cowell, after the latter made an offensive remark about her marriage.

The male judge inserted the comment as he provided feedback for one of the acts during the show.

He was heard commenting on Mel B’s failed marriage with her estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte. She is currently facing her divorce battle after accusing Belafonte of threatening and abusing her. During the recent episode of “America’s Got Talent,” the female singer was seen walking away from the stage and reportedly, leaving the building after the remark by her co-judge.
