Meghan King Edmonds is currently married to Jimmy Edmonds, and they have a daughter together, little Aspen. Meghan is also the stepmother to Jimmy’s other children; something has been discussed several times on "The Real Housewives of Orange County.” Despite being a stepmom to his children, Meghan had no idea how severe Parental Alienation is for the parents involved. She was surprised to learn that Tamra Judge’s parental alienation example is actually much more common than one would expect. King admits she has no idea what her co-star was going through when they were filming the show together.

On “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Tamra revealed she’s been filming a documentary about parental alienation. She also spoke at a conference about the matter. During the conference, Tamra revealed just how common parental alienation really is, and this was something that surprised Meghan. She was shocked to learn that her co-star was going through something so painful, even though Tamra had opened up about it just a little bit while filming. Perhaps Meghan was surprised to hear so many other stories from moms and dads about how the other partner played a role in completely alienating the one parent from the relationship.

Her case isn't lost

On “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Tamra has revealed that she did have a run-in with her daughter Sidney at her son Ryan's house.

The two had been hanging out, and Tamra had no plans of stopping by Ryan's house. But when she did, she was happy to sit down with her daughter. She revealed that this is the first time they had hugged, outside of court and outside of scheduled mediation.

As Judge explains, there's a long way to go in regards to building a relationship with her daughter, but she believes this is a great step.

As for Meghan, she is surprised that Tamra is still dealing with this matter. It was back in 2010 when Tamra made the comment that she wanted a divorce, and it was then the whole situation began.

Patience may be the key

It sounds like this relationship could indeed be fixed if Sidney is willing to talk to her mother. It sounds like Judge is more than willing to be patient with her daughter as they work out their issues.

What do you think about Tamra Judge’s decision to open up about parent parental alienation on this season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County?" Are you surprised that Meghan King Edmonds doesn't know a lot about this particular topic?
