Stars from the very first season of "Married at First Sight" welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner wanted to start a family, and it has finally happened. Daughter Henley Grace Hehner was born in New Jersey at 5:24 a.m. and weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20.2 inches long. She wasn't due until August 24, but her parents are glad she is here and healthy. Jamie's rep says mother and daughter are doing great and daddy is in pure bliss.

Jamie, 31, announced earlier this month that they had picked out a name, and Doug, 33, wrote it on the wall in the baby's room during a Facebook Live session.

'Married at First Sight' Season 1

When Jamie and Doug first got married in 2014, Jamie didn't like Doug very much. It took a while before the couple connected, but they have been happily married since then. In 2016, Jamie was four months pregnant when she had a miscarriage of a son they named Jonathan Edward Hehner. Jamie and Doug were heartbroken after the miscarriage. They posted that their baby was just too beautiful for earth and they can’t wait to meet him in heaven. They asked for prayers from their fans.

Because of the miscarriage, Jamie said she had been holding her breath the whole time during the pregnancy of her daughter. She wants to bond with her since she did not have a good relationship with her own mother.

Jamie says her daughter is going to be her "mini me." Henley Grace already has her own Instagram account. Doug says he is outnumbered by girls because they have two female dogs.

Rainbow baby

While pregnant, Jamie had a rainbow drawn on her belly because their newborn daughter is a "rainbow baby." That is a phrase used for babies born after the mother has had a miscarriage, stillbirth neonatal death or an infant loss of any kind.

The meaning behind the phrase is that a beautiful rainbow usually follows a terrible storm. Jamie has been very open about the loss of her first child. She says she wants to come up with something so women can pay tribute to the children they have lost. Since the miscarriage of little Johnny, she has shared several tributes on social media, including one for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month last October.

Congratulations are in order for the happy parents on the birth of their daughter. Jamie and Doug are going to be great parents because they had been looking forward to starting a family since they first married.
