Netflix remains "mum" when it comes to giving details about LongmireSeason 6. A lot of fans are waiting for some news and updates about the television show, but official information about it remains scarce.

Viewers are just holding out to know things about the series through the cast members’ updates, rumors, and fan-made theories. Thanks to Katee Sackhoff, who plays the role of Victoria Moretti, we now know that the modern Western crime drama is now in another level of production.

Recording lines for the show

Katee Sackhoff hinted that “Longmire” Season 6 is still in production as she revealed that she is now busy doing ADR for the television show.

ADR stands for automated or automatic dialog replacement. The actress’ dialogues that can’t be recovered from the filming will be recorded again and put into the filmed tapes. Originally, it was called looping, which involved recording the actress’ spoken lines.

In her Twitter post, the 37-year-old star shared a photo where she revealed that she is now doing ADR and she's got company. The “Battlestar Galactica” actress is with Robert Taylor, who portrays the lead star Walt Longmire, and they are riding on a golf cart. In her caption, she noted that they just stole the vehicle and uttered a joke that they can’t be trusted when there is an automobile around.

Fans waiting for official announcement

“Longmire” Season 6’s production started during the summer. Therefore it is now assumed that the filming has wrapped up and fans are now waiting for the official announcement of the release date.

However, Netflix has yet to announce the premiere of the television show’s first episode, but Carter Matt predicted that it might happen in late September or early October. Viewers are now somewhat upset as the streaming service seems to not be giving enough attention to the crime drama compared to the hype of series like “Stranger Things” Season 2.

But, they are hoping that they will soon say something about it.

A movie adaptation

Meanwhile, as “Longmire” Season 6 is coming to an end, there are swirling rumors that it may be adapted into a movie.

In fact, Robert Taylor himself talked about it on his Facebook page. The 53-year-old star expressed his interest in doing a film based on Craig Johnson’s best-selling “Walt Longmire Mysteries” series novel and he will be definitely down for doing it.

He revealed a post shared by one of the television show’s staff named Daniela and captioned it with grateful words. “It was a joy to work with you and your merry gang all of these years,” he said. He then ended his note with, “Here's to 'Longmire' movies.”
