It has just been announced that idol-turned-actress Suzy Bae has finally renewed her contract with her first and former agency. The negotiations have dragged on for months and fans are relieved that the popular South Korean star is staying with JYP Entertainment.

Suzy remains with JYPE

AllKpop reported that Suzy has ultimately decided to stay with JYP Entertainment after several months of sitting down with the management, negotiating her contract. The entertainment company, which was founded by Park Jin-Young, confirmed last month that the “Dream High” star will be continuing her career as an idol singer and actress with them.

It has been months since Suzy was reportedly in talks about her contract renewal. There were even rumors circulating that she was planning on creating a one-man agency for herself with the backing of her superstar boyfriend, Lee Min Ho.

Suzy’s contract with JYP Entertainment ended in April this year and the negotiations had dragged on far too long so that some fans were getting frustrated. However, after the official announcement, fans are happy that the Miss A member is sticking to the entertainment company that has helped her rocket into stardom. The agency has assured fans that they will continue to support her in her future activities.

What happens to Miss A?

As for Suzy’s idol girl group, Miss A, there has been no news on whether or not they will continue promoting.

The group has remained inactive for quite a long time and they already lost one member when Jia decided to leave the group and the company after her contract expired.

The other member of Miss A, Min also hasn’t announced her intentions since her contract with JYPE expired in April this year, as well. So far, only Suzy and fellow Miss A member Fei have renewed their contracts with the agency and as there are no announcements regarding the group’s disbandment, they are still part of Miss A.

Suzy’s upcoming projects

Suzy made her debut in South Korea’s entertainment industry as an idol in 2010. Shortly after her group’s debut, she became one of the most popular rookies and easily took on acting roles and endorsement deals.

She recently made her debut as a solo artist earlier this year with her first album, “Yes? No?” She will be reuniting with “Dream High” scriptwriter Park Hye-Run as they will be working on the new television drama series, “While You Were Sleeping.”

“W: Two Worlds” actor Lee Jong-Suk will also be starring in the new upcoming drama series. “While You Were Sleeping” will premiere on SBS on September 27.
