"Hawaii Five-0" has been pumping up its guest list amid a cast shakeup. Scheduled to appear in multiple episodes of season 8 is former teen star Joey Lawrence, while Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, who left the show in June, reunite for a photo.

Joey Lawrence is set to appear in two episodes of "Hawaii Five-0" season 8. He will reportedly play Aaron Wright, the brother of hacker Ian Wright (Nick Jonas) who was killed off in the show, according to Variety. The actor's episode appearances have no scheduled air date for now.Joey Lawrence

Joey Lawrence used to be a teen star who starred in the 1990s sitcom "Blossom" and became a pop singer.

He also headlined the series "Melissa and Joey" with Melissa Joan Hart.

Chin and Kono reunion

Meanwhile, former “Hawaii Five-0” stars Daniel Dae Kim (Chin Ho Kelly) and Grace Park (Kono Kalakaua) recently met up in Vancouver. Kim shared a photo of his reunion with his TV cousin on his social media accounts.

Both actors left the series after contract renegotiations with CBS failed. Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, who appeared on all episodes of “Hawaii Five-0” from the beginning, apparently demanded equal pay as their co-stars Alex O’ Loughlin (Steve McGarrett) and Scott Caan (Danny Williams) but CBS didn’t budge.

A lot of money offered

“We made very, very strong attempts to keep them and offered them a lot of money to stick around,” CBS executive Kelly Kahl said during the Television Critics Association panel last Tuesday.

Kahl further clarified that the contract renegotiations with Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park was like a business transaction that didn’t pan out, which is not unusual in the industry.

“It’s kind of an unfortunate byproduct of having a successful, long-running show that sometimes you lose cast members,” Kahl said.

New cast members

Following the exits, “Hawaii Five-0” producers announced via The Hollywood Reporter the addition of Meaghan Rath (Tani Ray), as a Police Academy dropout, and Beulah Koale (Junior Reigns), as a former Navy SEAL. They will slowly form part of the new team.

The show also promoted Ian Anthony Dale as a series regular on “Hawaii Five-0.” The actor had recurring appearances on the show as Adam Noshimuri, a consultant of the Five-0 team.

Daniel Dae Kim, meanwhile, is moving on to work behind the scenes on “The Good Doctor,” an upcoming series on ABC, where he is executive producer. Grace Park, on the other hand, will soon be seen on”Public Schooled,” a movie starring Judy Greer.
