Ever wonder why Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and Bronn of the Blackwater (Jerome Flynn) never talk in Game of Thrones? Well, there is a big reason why they don’t. HBO’s hit fantasy epic series’ Season 7 just reached its conclusion over the weekend that ended with a lot of cliffhangers. Fans have a lot of unanswered questions during the season finale. However, the thought of Cersei and Bronn not actually sharing the same scene at once makes everyone think if there is something wrong going on between the two stars.

Why do they always keep apart?

During “Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale, Bronn welcomed the guests such as Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) in their meeting with Cersei Lannister at the Dragonpit to convince her about the white walkers. It can be recalled when Bronn asked one of the stewards to come with him and have some drinks while the “fancy folks” discuss the Army of the Dead. At that time, the queen only arrived until he was gone and fans were wondering why he didn’t join that fancy meeting between the enemies trying to keep things amicable. We know that he is also important at that meeting given the fact that he is Ser Jamie Lannister’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), right hand. Seriously, he will also have to fight against the white walkers but why didn’t he attend the meeting?

According to some Reddit users, the last time that Cersei and Bronn were on-set of “Game of Thrones” together was in Season 3 when he confronted the Kingsguard in King’s Landing. Interestingly, the Lannister queen left almost immediately and never spoke with Bronn, and that’s just it. After that scene, they were never seen together on-set.

Back in 2014, The Guardian talked about Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn, who briefly dated in 2002 but their break-up was a chaotic one. This is reportedly one reason why they can’t be on-set together.

The messy break-up

A member of “Game of Thrones” crew allegedly previously told The Guardian that Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn’s breakup was too difficult that they can never be friends.

“Jerome and Lena aren’t on speaking terms anymore, and they are never in the same room at the same time,” the source said. “It’s a pity because they appeared to have patched things up for a while, but now the word is they should be kept apart at all costs.” More than a decade later, they are still not in good terms, and it’s too bad for us not to see Cersei and Bronn talk as much as we want them to.

“Game of Thrones” Season 8 will be the final season of HBO’s hit fantasy series. It is expected to premiere in 2018 although it might also take the production to wrap up until 2019.
