Game of Thrones” Season 7 is finally creating a plot that cooks every fan’s excitement. When the preview of its third episode started broadcasting, no one ignored the intense interaction between Daenerys Targaryen played by Emilia Clarke and Jon Snow played by Kit Harington. When the episode premiered, well, we got what we wanted.

This will be their first after seven seasons of histories where one of them was raped, almost killed, lost a loved one, earned dragons etc. Wouldn’t it be satisfying to see them both torch Cersei? Well, not so fast.

Warning! "Game of Thrones" spoilers ahead

During their first heavy face-to-face, the Bastard of Winterfell and the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen did not join the bandwagon of cliché when it comes to teaming up. Instead, the two started to compare each other’s experiences and ambitions when it comes to fighting Tyrion Lannister’s sister (except Jon mostly cares about the Walkers and the threats ahead).

But it is obvious that the King of the North, Jon Snow needs Daenerys more. She has the upper hand but Snow could not easily “bend the knee” when she requested for it. Despite being unable to come up with an agreement, both parties delayed the discussion before Snow made sure that he is not her prisoner, yet.

Fans also exploited the theory that the two prominent characters of “Game of Thrones” could begin a romantic relationship. Aside from that, there might be a big reveal of blood relationships that will involve Daenerys’ name.

If the two characters begin an alliance, it would create an easier way towards the Iron throne. But if this happens, the alliance may not last long as both Targaryen and Snow may see themselves fit for the throne alone.

What to expect in the new Season of GoT

During the episode’s premiere, a discussion about Azor Ahai’s identity also joined to the picture. If indeed one of them could be the legendary figure – since Azor Ahai may be reborn as a man or a woman – then it will create more complications from the list we already know of.

If Jon Snow does succumb to Dany’s request to pledge his loyalty to her and “bend the knee”, Jon may as well become the Warden of the North.

Is Daenerys really the last Targaryen? Or are the writers imposing for another, with the possibility of it being Jon Snow? If another Targaryen does emerge, would Dany and Jon prolong an expected alliance? Or would it end promptly after their personal ambitions are reached?
