The show is about to return in less than one month, and fans will be delighted to hear more teasers about the new season. The show recently had a photo shoot that reveals what fans could expect in the new season.
Photo shoot hints the theme
In the official Twitter account of the show, a video was posted showing the behind the scenes of the lead stars’ photo shoot. The theme of the shoot projects the Palace of Versailles, where the stars were wearing outfits matching the theme.
The lead stars look very elegant in their outfits. The clip also reveals that opulence is greatly evident in the characters’ clothing.
Interestingly, the concept also included some flames on the floor and on the grand piano. Steven Klein, the photographer, explained that the flames signify the destruction of the Empire Versailles. The flame concept seems to tease the destruction of the Lyon’s empire.
However, the photoshoot also shows the family remains firm and fierce amidst the fire. Klein revealed that the Lyon family remained impeccable amidst the adversary.
Meanwhile, in an earlier tweet, the show also revealed that the Lyon family will always stick together. This seems to suggest that fans of the drama series will see the family’s unity despite the great challenges they will face in the new season.
Season 4 to feature a ‘new world’ and more twists
Aside from the behind the scene clips of the photo shoot, the showrunner, photographers and actors were also featured in the video. They talked about the upcoming season 4 and dropped some teasers for fans to feast on.
Showrunner Lee Daniels gave out a short yet major teaser regarding season 4.
He said fans will see the new show as an entirely “new world.”
Furthermore, lead star Terrence Howard, playing the role of Luscious Lyon, also confirmed Daniels’ revelation. The actor emphasized that the photo shoot is the very first chance to introduce the new theme of the upcoming new season.
According to Bryshere Y. Gray, playing the role of Hakeem Lyon, the upcoming season 4 will feature a lot of “dynamic twists and turns to it.” He also mentioned that aside from family and music, there will also be “disruption.”
Unfortunately, the actor did give away more information about the twists to expect in the new season. Fans of “Empire” should look forward to this mysterious plot.
“Empire” season 4 is set to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
