While it remains to be seen whether “Game of Thrones” showrunners will pursue a Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen romance and risk another incestuous storyline, actress Emilia Clarke may have just posted a huge spoiler about where the Mother of Dragons and the King of the North would be headed in future episodes. Fans have Instagram to thank for that.

Somewhere cold

In the last episode of “Game of Thrones” entitled “The Spoils of War,” Jon Snow was able to find strong evidence that may convince Queen Daenerys Targaryen to help him in the battle against the White Walkers.

In the episode, he shows Dany writings on a cave wall made by the Children of the Forest which shows them uniting with the First Men against a common enemy.

Jon Snow once against asks Daenerys Targaryen for her help in defending the Wall against the horde of White Walkers headed towards Westeros but Dany asks him to bend the knee in return before committing her support. The scene ended without showing whether Jon actually did bend the knee to the Southerner.

However, in a new Instagram post made by Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys in the series, new clues can be found as to where the duo may be headed. “Wait..... did I NOT tell you guys?! Um yeah. Now if he'd only bend the bloody knee there'll be no problems,” she captioned the post showing her and actor Kit Harington all bundled up in winter coats with an icy backdrop.

Fans quickly theorized that Clarke and Harington may be filming somewhere in Iceland where their characters will finally join forces to go against the forces of the Night King. If Dany has agreed to help Jon’s crusade, does this mean he submitted to her demands?

Accidental chemistry

In a clip from “Game of Thrones’” Inside the Episode, showrunner David Benioff acknowledged that there was an attraction brewing between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

However, it seems that it was not an intentional direction that the writers have plotted for the series.

“It’s conflict. And it’s conflict between powerful people,” Benioff said about the standoff between the two characters on who will bend the knee. “Then to make it even more complicated, they’re starting to be attracted to each other.

So much of it is not from the dialogue, or anything we wrote, it’s just the two of them in a small space being near each other, and us just watching that, and feeling the heat of that.”

The possible romance is being met with mixed reactions from that fans who have long been expecting the confirmation of the famous R+L=J theory which posits that Jon is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. While incest is not unheard of in the show, it remains to be seen how fans will accept another incestuous storyline should writers pursue the #Jonaerys romance.
