Actor Daniel Craig tells the host of the "Late Show" Stephen Colbert that he will be returning as James Bond for "Bond 25." He also tells Colbert that he knew he would reprise the famous spy role for a couple months already. The delay of the the announcement was because they have to sort some things first. He also adds that he badly wants to come back for the role and he also needed a break.

Despite Craig's denials in every report about his possible return, he finally confirmed it personally in his appearance on the "Late Show." Craig referred to his secretive gesture as being cagey about it.

He said that he has been doing interviews the whole time and people have been asking him and he has been rather coy. In his interview, Craig said that it would be his last time to tackle the role and he can't wait to take it to the next level.

Craig takes back what he said

It can be recalled that Daniel Craig made a stupid comment about coming back for the next James Bond film back in 2015. The British actor said that he would rather slit his wrist than take on the daunting role of James Bond. He takes back what he said that time by saying that he said something really stupid. What he only wanted to say was how difficult it was to bear the beloved franchise with style and grace.

In an interview with WMMR’s Preston & Steve show on Tuesday, Daniel Craig says that he doesn’t want to spoil everyone about the upcoming James Bond film.

Also in another interview with the Boston radio show Morning Magic 106.7, Craig made it clear that nothing has been confirmed. He even defends himself by saying that he is not holding out for more money and that it is all just very personal.

It was a great surprise in the prior month when The New York Times reported that Craig might still be taking the role.

However, now that it is confirmed, fans were shocked how events turned out to be. Even Craig himself was also surprised too, and he is now taking back what he said before.

James Bond sequel to hit theaters 2019

It is never an issue if Craig cannot perform the role as there are lots of actors who have been suggested for the role.

This includes Idris Alba, Tom Hardy, and Tom Hiddleston. Daniel Craig has already appeared in “Casino Royale,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Skyfall,” and Spectre.”

And now the untitled James Bond film will be his fifth. It is set to hit the U.S. Theater on November 8, 2019. Film producers, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are both optimistic that this next installment will be on par with “Skyfall” which earned $1.1B worldwide.
