It looks like someone is about to say goodbye in the return of Criminal Minds” Season 13. And it seems fans are going to witness not only one death but maybe two members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) will meet their demise.

To recall, the previous season finale left its viewers with a major cliffhanger with the terrible vehicle accident. As they are in the middle of a life and death situation, Chief Emily Prentiss’ (Paget Brewster) leadership will be tested.

Prentiss’ leadership

BAU members’ won’t have enough time to escape the speeding truck, so this means that one or two of them will have to say goodbye in “Criminal Minds” Season 13.

Emily Prentiss has to do her best to convince her team that everything is going to be okay, in spite of losing some of their team members. To recall, at the recent San Diego Comic-Con 2017, Paget Brewster talked about their co-stars’ departure from the show.

"It's always hard when someone is gone, whether by choice or not by their choice,” the 48-year-old star said (via Christian Post). However, they just have to accept how things will turn out, but she admitted that it is impossible not to miss anyone who has left the television series.

Talking about replacing Thomas Gibson, who played the iconic character of Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner, she explained that it “was unfortunate...The con was the situation in which it happened, which was Thomas Gibson no longer being with the show,” she explained.

A serial killer’s return

Meanwhile, aside from the deaths, fans are going to face some more distress through the return of the cannibalistic serial killer in “Criminal Minds” Season 13.

Floyd Feylinn Ferell (Jamie Kennedy) will return in the police procedural drama after being away for almost 10 years. In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Erica Messer revealed that the psychotic, prolific murderer will be seen in episode six with an unrevealed title yet.

As he was last seen in the show’s third installment, it is not yet known how his return will be featured or how will his storyline will flow. Messer teased that his arrival will play a significant role in the lives of the other characters.

“It's going to be so much fun,” she teased. The abductor’s comeback might once again bring the horror back to life, especially in his victims. Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) may remember everything that she has been through at the hands of the most wanted killer.

“Criminal Minds” Season 13 will return on Sept. 27 on CBS.
