Chloe Grace Moretz was interviewed by Variety magazine for this week’s Power of Young Hollywood issue, and she talked about Melania and Ivanka Trump. She said women need to have better role models implying that Melania and Ivanka are not people to look up to.

Moretz said that her favorite role models are Emma Watson, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Jessica Chastain, Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, and Zoey Deutch. Mortez was a huge supporter of Clinton and continues to be so as she believes that both Ivanka and Melania are inside a bubble, which she described as a very sad bubble.

Why she thinks Melania, Ivanka are inside a bubble

The actress believes that these women are not speaking up for themselves and what they believe in, which she hates to see. Moretz wished the First Lady and the First Daughter are more aware when it comes to their surroundings as well as "more aware of what their husband and father are doing.”

Moretz did say, however, that she never met Ivanka and Melania and that she only spoke on what she sees, which saddens her. As for the Trumps being role models to young women, Moretz said she hates to see the First Lady not being respected by her husband and a daughter who also cannot see she is being disrespected by her father.

She also thinks Melania and Ivanka are products of mental manipulation noting that people usually cannot see the forest for the trees “when you’re that deep.”

Moretz talks worries about Trump administration

As a young woman living under the Trump administration, Moretz said that the thing that most worries her is what concerns everyone.

She believes that Trump’s administration would feel like “years and years of marching and protesting.”

For the 2020 presidential elections, the actress planned to campaign for the candidate of her choice. She noted that she will support whoever is the best candidate she feels really connected to. She also hopes that Clinton will run again next presidential elections.

During the 2016 national elections, Moretz voted for a president for the first time.

Moretz reveals she was body-shamed by a male co-star

Aside from talking about the Trumps and Clinton, Moretz also said that she was fat-shamed by one of her male co-stars. She did not drop names but said that the guy was her love interest and the co-star said that she would never date her in real life because she was too big for her. Moretz said the comment made her cry on set because she was only 15 and the guy was around 23 to 25 years of age, Aol.com reported.
