The upcoming Han Solo film has been very strict in keeping the details of the project under wraps even after they have formally started the filming last January. In fact, the production team has provided little information aside from releasing the incomplete list of characters to expect in the 2018 movie.

Inside the untitled Han Solo film

In October 2016, Lucasfilm confirmed that Donald Glover would join Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo) as Lando Calrissian. “We’re so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us,” Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said in a joint statement.

The directors went on to say that the actor is perfect for the role which will benefit the entire production regarding budget and alterations. Aside from Ehrenreich and Glover, several actors have also been confirmed to take part in the upcoming Han Solo movie.

The incomplete line-up includes Woody Harrelson (Beckett), Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca).

The Han Solo Film encountered a shake-up when Lord and Miller were fired from the production due to "creative differences" in June. According to THR, Lord and Miller's ideas did not coincide with Lawrence Kasdan, who is in charge of the screenplay.

Ron Howard took the helm to finish the remainder of the Han Solo film.

His credits include "Cocoon (1985)," "Apollo 13 (1995)," "A Beautiful Mind (2001)" and "The Da Vinci Code (2006)."

Actors take fans behind the scenes of 'Star Wars' movie

Although the production team has offered little hints about the standalone film, Harrelson guaranteed that "Star Wars" fans will enjoy the movie. He even credited his co-actor, Ehrenreich, for bringing fun on the set and doing a great job in playing the titular role.

"He's a great actor and a great guy, [with a] great sense of humor," he told ET Online. "I think a lot of humor comes through what he's doing."

His statement was supported by Clarke's recent Instagram update where she took her 10 million followers behind the scene of the Han Solo film. The "Game of Thrones" alum uploaded a video of her goofing around with Suotamo who was wearing his Chewbacca mask.

In the said video, Clarke bragged about reaching 10 million followers on Instagram and asked for her co-actor's reaction. Chewbacca, on the other hand, ran around the set before he gave the actress a hug. "One Chewbacca (and one Emilia Clarke) wanted to thank each and everyone of you, 10 million wonderstar-incredible dream makers for following me," she captioned.

The Han Solo film will hit the cinemas on May 25, 2018.
