Will Paul Wesley make an appearance on the fifth season of “The Originals?” Fans speculate that he is coming back to the show, but there is no official word. Producer, director, and actor Paul Wesley is widely famous for his character as Stefan Salvatore in The CW’s hit “The Vampire Diaries,” which premiered from 2009 to 2017.

Following its smashing success, the show had a crossover with the network’s another supernatural sitcom “The Originals” episode "A Streetcar Named Desire" back in 2016. If you are a fan of “The Originals,” you must be aware of the fact that TVD’s season finale has shown Stefan’s death.

It means his story has ended in both shows. However, some fans are hoping that the actor may appear in “The Originals” season 5 with none other than Nina Dobrev. In a recent interview with TV Guide, Paul Wesley revealed that he might return to the series.

‘The Originals’ season 5 appearance

When TV Guide asked Paul if his cameo appearance was confirmed or not, the actor said he was negotiating the project with the network, so it’s not possible to confirm anything at this point. In a separate interview with TV Guide, Paul Wesley said that he might not return to the series as Stefan Salvatore had been laid to rest and his story had come to an end. According to him, his part has already been ended, and he doesn’t think it’s fair to bring Stefan Salvatore back to the screen.

Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley’s dating rumors

In the meantime, rumors have surfaced online that Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev have been dating each other for several days. The two became linked when Nina returned for the TVD season finale.

Some fans speculate that Dobrev and Wesley are secretly dating each other. As of now, they are single, and media are pushing the theory that they may tie the knot by the end of this year.

Nina Dobrev is not the first woman in Paul Wesley’s life. He met and started dating actress Torrey DeVitto in 2007 during the shooting of “Killer Movie.” They tied the knot in a private ceremony in New York, in April 2011.
