At the recently held San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. revealed a new full trailer for their upcoming DC movie, Justice League.” New footage from the trailer hints that a certain superhero character is evidently coming back from the dead.

New teaser promises an action-packed movie

The cast of “Justice League” attended the San Diego Comic-Con and participated in the Warner Bros. panel for DC, entertaining questions from fans and revealing what the studio has planned to release soon.

The previous teaser clips for the DC movie already revealed that the superheroes will be showing their respective capabilities as they fight crime in various cities.

The new trailer that was unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con was received with boisterous applause from fans as it gives them a closer look at the movie with new footage and even revealed the villain that the league is going to go against.

Steppenwolf, an Apokoliptian General and one of Darkseid's minions, finally appears and even the Amazons recognize him as a huge threat. Batman reunites with Wonder Woman and teams up for the first time with Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg to fight the biggest villain in the DC franchise yet.

Superman is coming back

The biggest tease in the new Comic-Con trailer of “Justice League” was the last scene wherein Alfred addresses someone mysterious. Alfred talks to this person as if they have been expecting him to return.

The final scene gives a blurred shot of what seems to be someone wearing something red, perhaps a cape. Aside from the red cape, there was a subtle hint in the previous teaser, showing off Cyborg supposedly rocketing through the skies in a shot that looks similar to Superman’s signature pose. Another subtle hint of Superman’s return is Lois Lane’s appearance in the movie.

As if the context clues weren't enough, actors Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa teased fans of Superman’s imminent return. A young fan asked the DC panel at the San Diego Comic-Con if Superman will be joining the Justice League in the movie and Momoa candidly shut it down by saying that Superman died in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

However, Gadot, who plays the role of Wonder Woman, said that anyone who’s a huge fan of Superman should look forward to the new DC movie.

Momoa, who plays Aquaman, later consoled the young fan during the fan-signing event and assured him that Superman is well and very much alive.

Variety also recently reported that Warner Bros. is spending millions on the extensive reshoots for “Justice League” and shared that the lead actors are trying their best to give time to the additional photography. It particularly pointed out that Henry Cavill, who plays the role of Superman, has been juggling his schedule to accommodate the reshoots, hinting further that the iconic character is making a comeback.
