A lot of fans were heartbroken and disappointed with the finale of "This Is Us," which is why there is a lot of hype for season 2. Fans are expecting a brighter atmosphere in "This Is Us" season 2, and, as filming for the series has officially started, some clues and spoilers have been noted. First off, the Pearson family is back, proudly sharing a snap on Instagram of their first day on the set. In the Instagram snap, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, and Milo Ventimiglia are all smiles. According to Entertainment Tonight, the cast and crew of "This Is Us" are back at the Paramount lot in Los Angeles filming the next season.

Mandy Moore, who plays the role of Rebecca in "This Is Us," also shared a lot of photos on her Instagram page. Some eagle-eyed fans noticed a cap with what seems to be a logo of a Pittsburgh-based company named Big Three Homes. It could just be a random cap but it could also mean that Jack might have pulled through with his dream of starting his own construction company.

They're officially back

Aside from Mandy Moore and Sterling K. Brown, the creator of "This Is Us," Dan Fogelman, also took to Twitter about his excitement for the official return of the series. On Twitter, he posted a photo of Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia acting out one of the scenes for the premiere episode.

In season 1, a lot of tears were shed and it was undeniably a rollercoaster of love and heartbreak for the fans.

The unconventional plot, as well as the casting, was a great formula that had the viewers hooked on the drama series. In "This Is Us" season 2, more flashbacks are expected to be seen as the younger versions of Kate and Kevin have been promoted to series regulars.

Speaking of series regulars, Deadline also reports that Alexa Breckenridge, who plays the role of Sophie, was also promoted as a season 2 regular.

This could mean that Sophie and Kevin's love story might have another shot in "This Is Us" season 2.

An emotional rollercoaster

"This Is Us" may have started off a bit shaky, but as the episodes rolled by, the fans grew more attached to the series and were waiting for each new episode to air. It tackled simple stuff like family and relationships, but the simplicity and twists in the story were what tugged at the heartstrings of the viewers.

According to Good Housekeeping, the emotional and tear-jerking scenes will be as prominent in season 2, so fans better prepare their hankies and tissue boxes. "This Is Us" season 2 will be returning to the small screen this September 26, 2017, on NBC.
