"The Originals" showrunner Julie Plec reported on her Twitter account the confirmation that the popular show will end after Season 5. This announcement was made on Thursday prior to the series' San Diego Comic-Con panel this weekend.
The Originals Confirmed To End
A report indicated that the series showrunner has confirmed the end of "The Originals." The fifth season, which is to air later this year, will be the last for "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off. Around this time last year, the announcement was also made that "The Vampire Diaries" was to end after Season 8.
