ABC's clips of "The Bachelorette" spoilers for episode 8 show that rachel lindsay will face a hurdle that both the winner and runner-up finalists share -- a mother who can be the determining factor in whether their relationships last. Bryan Abasolo told Rachel in the most recent episode of the show that his mother was a big part of the reason his last relationship didn't last. When he broke up with his ex, he claimed that she had tears streaming down her face as he drove away. Bryan confessed that he "abandoned" the woman he was seeing.

Will Bryan's mom like Rachel?

ABC reports in its newest "Bachelorette" spoilers that Rachel worries about not getting Bryan's mother's approval during the hometown date in Madison, Wisconsin. Rachel is eager to convince Bryan's mother that she'd be a great match for her son and would be a great daughter-in-law. Despite her best effort, Byan's mom isn't so sure about the hurried romance.

Peter's mom gives Rachel something to think about

Rachel Lindsay encounters the same type of situation with Peter Kraus' mother, only on a different level. In a scene from "The Bachelorette" episode ahead, Rachel asks Peter's mother if he's "emotionally ready" for a commitment, and she answers, "not necessarily." Of course, it could be an edit of that conversation, but Peter confides in his mother that he still has walls up with Rachel, and he's not ready to take them down.

Scenes of Rachel fighting tears follow. Peter explained to Rachel in the last episode that if she picks him at the end of the show, he won't be getting down on one knee unless he's "100 percent" ready to give his heart to her. This is a huge fear for Rachel and she hopes to not see herself standing there without a proposal if Peter is the one she wants.

Winner and runner-up spoilers

According to Reality Steve's "Bachelorette" spoilers, Bryan Abasolo is the winner of the show and Peter Kraus is the runner-up. Would Peter have been Rachel's pick if he was ready? Is this why Bryan is the winner and not him? Peter and Rachel have shared intense chemistry all season, but she also has strong feelings for Bryan.

Between now and when the finale airs, there's much more to explore with their relationships. It'll be interesting to see if she gets all of the answers to her questions before she makes her final choice.

Who would you like to see Rachel with at the end of the show? Who seems best suited for her?
