"Teen Wolf" is coming to an end with Season 6 and it looks like one fan-favorite character will no longer be a part of the show's final episodes on TV. While there have been talks that Dylan O'Brien's character, Stiles, will no longer be featured in the second half of Season 6, this recent interview with a cast member seemingly confirms his absence in the MTV drama.
Dylan O'Brien: Is he on 'Teen Wolf' Season 6?
There have been talks that Dylan O'Brien will no longer return for "Teen Wolf" Season 6 because of the incidents that took place while filming the final season of the MTV drama.
It can be recalled that the 25-year-old actor sustained serious injuries while filming on the set of his movie, "Maze Runner: The Death Cure."
O'Brien's injuries were so serious that both "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" and "Teen Wolf" had to make certain changes. In the case of the MTV drama, the show was forced to film some of the scenes that did not feature O'Brien's character, Stiles Stilinski, and it also meant several changes in Stiles' storyline through the rest of the season. These changes were already observed in the first half of the season, which aired in November last year, and saw Scott (Tyler Posey) and the rest of the Pack forget about Stiles.
The midseason finale of the show further strengthened speculations that O'Brien will no longer be in the series finale of "Teen Wolf." In the said episode of the show, Stiles was headed for college at George Washington University, which meant that he would be staying at a place away from Beacon Hills, away from Lydia and away from Scott and the Pack.
This raised a lot of questions among viewers, especially "Stydia" fans who have been waiting for six seasons to see them get their happily ever after. Many fans are also saddened that O'Brien's absence may mean lesser moments for Stiles and his best friend, Scott.
Will Stiles Die on 'Teen Wolf' Season 6?
It looks like there will also be a bloodshed on Season 6 and fans should brace themselves for the deaths of several characters in the show.
In an interview with TV Line, actor Linden Ashby, who plays Sheriff Stilinski, warned fans that the death toll will rise in the series finale of the MTV drama.
"It’s a really cool season, and yes, a lot of people actually do die," he teased.
This made a lot of fans wonder whether Stiles is included in the death list. The deaths in the upcoming series finale will be unveiled when the MTV series returns on air; however, Ashby's statements that his onscreen son, Stiles, will no longer be in Season 6.
During the said interview, the actor said that Sheriff Stilinski and Stiles will remain in touch even though he is away from Beacon Hills, but only through a phone call.
