“Stranger Things” Season 2 is coming back to stream on Netflix. In the recent San Diego Comic-con, the series revealed a thrilling trailer about the story for the upcoming season. It seems that the Upside down is not gone when the series returns. The trailer's narration is done by Vincent Price. He was also the one who had a chilling voice in Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

Will Barb Return?

It can be recalled that the first season of “Stranger Things” Will (Noah Schnapp) was trapped in the Upside Down. In the end, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) was gone and there were questions if she will be back in the second season.

The other character that was also killed in the previous season was Barb.

In the recent panel of the series at the San Diego Comic Con aside from the trailer being revealed, the first question came from Shannon Purser who portrayed Barb. She asked if the character is going to be back in the upcoming season. Unfortunately, the answer to Purser’s question is no. So fans do not have to expect Barb’s character to return. Meanwhile, Mike and Nancy (Natalia Dyer) will be seen mourning the loss of Barb and Eleven. It already has been hinted that the second season begins a year after the previous one.

Additionally, the second season of “Stranger Things” will have Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour) embark into a hero journey.

It is also hinted that the story arc will be very different from that of the first season. The upcoming season will also be set in 1984 and brings back Will, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin). It also will bring back the character of Eleven. Some of the other original characters are still returning for the upcoming season.

New Characters

It seems that the kids will experience more challenges in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. There also will be additional characters that are to join in “Stranger Things” Season 2. Sean Austin will join the series as Bob who is the new date of Joyce (Winona Ryder) for the series. There are also other characters that are newcomers to the town.

Dacre Montgomery will portray the role of Billy who is Max’s brother to be played by Sadie Sink. Max will be friends with the boys as the story unfolds. These new characters will also be significant on the events that will happen in town.

There are several events to be expected in “Stranger Things” Season 2. It is also worth the wait on how Eleven will return in the series. The show will stream on Netflix on Oct. 27.
