“Outlander” season 3 will not be airing until its premiere on September 10 on Starz. Fans are already reportedly excited about the new episodes. However, when the third season of the historical romance drama returns this fall, fans may get an extremely emotional scene from Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe.

Claire and Jaime’s reunion is painful

A few months ago, Caitriona Balfe teased a romantic reunion for her character, Claire and her lover, Jamie (Sam Heughan). However, Heughan added more information to tease about this much-awaited reunion.

Heughan dropped a spoiler saying that Jamie may find it hard to cope up with the emotional impact of his character’s reunion with Claire.

During his appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con along with the rest of the casts of “Outlander” season 3, the actor revealed that Jamie could faint when he finally sees Claire after a long time.

Heughan went on to say that it was obvious that both Jamie and Claire were apart and have their own lives already.

"You go through grief and acceptance ultimately of losing someone that they love," Heughan said. "And that would almost make a man faint."

His on-screen lover, Caitriona, also agreed with the statement. She also reassured fans that they were aware about how significant it was to build the perfect moment for that scene.

More spoilers

During the San Diego Comic-Con, the executive producer of the Starz series, Ronald D.

Moore, told the fans and media that the main characters of the show will leave Scotland forever after they reunite, as reported by Express UK.

The executive producer went on to say that though it was not a huge spoiler, this information is essential, adding that the show will relocate to North Carolina after “Outlander” season 3.

Moore added that Jamie and Claire’s family will relocate to North America and establish a place, which will be called “Fraser’s Ridge.”

The 53-year-old executive producer also revealed that due to the immense popularity of the historical romance drama series and the scope of the new season, the production team added extra writers and tweaked the schedule for release.

Will 'Outlander' still run after season 4?

Ronald D. Moore was quite positive about the future of the show. He said that Diana Gabaldon, the writer of the novel which the series is based from, is still writing books, so he hopes to continue the series.

Even if season 3 has not yet aired, the fourth season of “Outlander” is already on its initial stages of production. Season 4 will be based on Diana Gabaldon’s novel, “Drums of Autumn.”
