Hey, “The Strain” fans. Welcome to the new and unfortunately the last Season 4! It was definitely a long 10 month break. New Episode 2 will feature some heavy drama as Dutch gets real desperate to escape his prison situation. Gus enlists his cousin for a new job that he and his gang wants to pull off and more. These spoilers are from FX’s new press release by way of Thefutoncritic.com

'The Blood Tax'

The producers decided to name this one “The Blood Tax." Their description starts out explaining the Dutch storyline. Apparently, he’s going to be in a very unhappy and sticky situation.

He’s imprisoned as a subject in a strigoi breeding program. Not only does that not sound good, but it also sounds extremely weird. There’s no telling what’s going on there.

Any way to escape

What we do know is that Dutch will be very desperate to find any way he can to escape this unfortunate situation. Will he be able to get out of there? That’s the huge question for this storyline. They also say that if he can get out of there, he wants to locate Setrakian. Something tells me that this particular scenario could possibly span over a few episodes. We’ll have to wait and see. It does sound like it could give us some very dramatic moments.

In this next teaser, they revealed that Gus will be very busy preparing for a new plan that he’s got cooked up.

He is going to recruit his cousin to help pull off this scheme that they’re describing as an inside job. If all goes well, it’s supposed to put his gang at the top of the new world’s underground economy! So, that certainly sounds like it will be a very good position for them. Will they be able to successfully execute this inside job?

Or will something go wrong? Those are definitely the questions we’ll want to see get answered at some point during the arc of this plotline.

Very suspicious

There does sound like a bit of trouble could be looming in this situation as they mention that Gus’ business partner Creem will be very suspicious of Gus’ ambitions. If that’s the case, we could possibly see Creem throw a wrench into things.

One thing that is for sure is that Creem definitely isn’t sold on everything and that could pose a problem. Episode 2 was written by Liz Phang. They hired J. Miles Dale to handle the directorial duties.

Alright guys. That’s all the information that we were currently able to gather for this installment. However, we do expect to see a preview clip get released at some point this week. So, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for it because it more than likely will reveal some extra details. It is confirmed that episode 2 is currently due to air next Sunday night, July 23, 2017 at 9pm central time on FX. Stay tuned.
