Netflix is going to bring another new offering in the form of "Disenchantment." This new animated Fantasy Series will be coming from "Simpsons" and "Futurama" creator, Matt Groening and will be starring "Broad City" comedian, Abbi Jacobson.

Variety reported that the series has been in the works for a while now. According to Netflix’s VP of original content, Cindy Holland, the new series will be perfect for the streaming service's numerous animation fans.

The lowdown on 'Disenchantment'

According to Rolling Stones, "Disenchantment" will be set in the disintegrating medieval kingdom of Dreamland.

It will center around three main characters: the hard-drinking princess Bean (Jacobson), as well as her elf friend, Elfo, and a "personal demon," Luci. Comedian Eric Andre will be voicing Luci, while actor Nat Faxon will be voicing Elfo.

According to Groening, "Disenchantment" is all about the "life and death, love and sex," and how to continue keeping your sense of humor, even if you're in a world of misery - surrounded by fools. This is aside from the fact that there are wizards and elders who think they know what's better for you.

Aside from the cast members mentioned above, the series will also feature the voices of John DiMaggio, David Herman, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, and Billy West.

Also included in the cast are Jeny Batten, Matt Berry, Noel Fielding, Rich Fulcher, and Lucy Montgomery.

Is 'Disenchantment' the new 'Futurama?'

Per Geek.com, many "Futurama" fans would like to wish that their favorite series will last forever, but "Disenchantment" looks promising and yeah, let's give it a chance to be the follow-up series to "Futurama."

Another adult animation series from Netflix has been a fan favorite - "Bojack Horseman." Although, Geek.com apologizes to the fans of this show, as they seem to think that Groening's new project will do better.

This was said, taking into consideration how Groening's works are very well-animated - even having superb facial acting and slapstick. Adult animation fans will really have to wait and see. Groening's fans could look forward to their favorite cartoonist in yet another new genre, with his special kind of savvy and narration, for which he is popularly known for.

Has the new animated series piqued your interest? "Disenchantment" has a 20-episode order, with the first 10 to premiere next year, only on Netflix.
