Just in time for the July 21 release of her upcoming studio album "Lust For Life," Lana Del Rey has graced her fans with two new singles from the LP. Lana Del Rey, a songstress known for her moody, quasi-vintage aesthetic, seems to be going back to her musical roots with the two recently released tracks titled "Groupie Love" and "Summer Bummer." Each single features a brooding instrumental arrangement, accompanied by subtle hip-hop beats and her signature wispy vocal style.

Track 1: 'Groupie Love'

"Groupie Love" is a track featuring rapper A$AP Rocky.

While this is the first time a publicly released song from Lana Del Rey features a rapper, this is not the first time the two have collaborated. In 2012, Rocky appeared in her music video for "National Anthem" from her debut album, "Born To Die." In the video, he played a flamboyant John F. Kennedy, who, by the end of the video, ultimately met the former President's tragic fate.

In "Groupie Love," however, Lana and A$AP Rocky perform lyrics about a girl and a celebrity having an affair. This feeling of this song sounds like somewhat of an homage to her older work (å la "Born To Die"), which was heavily hip-hop driven.

Track 2: 'Summer Bummer'

"Summer Bummer" is even more of a hip-hop driven song than "Groupie Love." While a harsh drum loop plays in the background, accompanied by skittering hi-hats, Lana, A$AP Rocky, and, a new edition, Playboi Carti, sing/rap about a summer fling tinged with secrecy.

As stated before, this is not the first time Lana Del Rey has written about such a topic. However, this is the first time the mainstream public has heard actual rappers featured in her music.

'Lust For Life'

Yesterday (July 12), Lana Del Rey took to her social media platforms and revealed the tracklist for her upcoming album.

The standard edition, assuming there might be a deluxe edition in the near future, is 16 tracks in length, and includes titles like "Cherry," "In My Feelings," and "God Bless America — And All The Beautiful Women In It".

Based on other social media posts, as well as a Twilight Zone inspired promotional video released for the album a couple of months ago, it's known that the album will play somewhat of a balancing act between Lana's traditional themes of fantasy and care-free living, and social issues affecting the youth of the world.

It can also be seen that, in addition to features from The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, and Playboi Carti, there will also be appearances from Stevie Nicks and Sean Lennon (the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono), making this Lana's most star studded and eclectic album to date.
