The “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14 will surely be as exciting as before. During the last week of July, the cast and crew are found to be in Seattle, shooting with a ferry and a helicopter to capture it all.

The “Grey’s Anatomy" cast including Ellen Pompeo gave the fans a glimpse of this shoot through twitter, expressing their excitement. And surely, the show’s avid viewers residing in Seattle, are thrilled to witness at least one of the cast members.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ new season in the making?

The long-running show has a lot on its plate for this upcoming season.

Aside from the 2-hour long episode of the season premiere, they are also looking forward to the show’s spin-off series. Although the title is yet to be announced, the firefighter spin-off is subject to begin midseason. Major characters for this firefighting show might be introduced in one of “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14 episodes.

The upcoming series would revolve around its group of firefighters that came into view back in the previous episodes. Their personal and professional lives would be portrayed continuously. Possibilities about any of the medical drama’s cast moving on to this show are still blurry since the producers have yet to confirm.

Actress Jaina Lee Ortiz is expected to be a part of the leading cast.

Viewers might find this actress from Bronx familiar, due to her role in the Fox police procedural drama, “Rosewood, that went on for two seasons. Since that show promptly ended, the actress and dancer are free for the firefighting show.

Shonda Rhimes to work with Paris Barclay and Betsy Beers

Aside from the major show runners new found series, Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers will be joined by director Paris Barclay who is set to lead and direct the pilot episode of “Grey’s Anatomy.” There are a number of shows ready to unveil a new set of the episode this 2017 and Grey’s Anatomy is one of those well received medical dramas out there, intending to stay on the television for more years to come.

This is not the first time the show produced a spin-off series though. The show Private Practice also originated in Grey’s Anatomy and it went on for six seasons, except the new spin-off won’t be as medical as the first one.

For the past years, Meredith Grey’s character and the story was a roller coaster, and it was such a fresh news that they decided for a firefighting spin-off. This makes it familiar yet, still different from its previous successes.

“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14 will begin on September 28, 2017.
