The next episode of Game of Thrones” Season 7 has been scheduled to air on July 23 and the plan to defeat the White Walkers finally moves forward. HBO released early previews for what’s in store for the second episode.

HBO reveals early preview

On July 16, “Game of Thrones” Season 7 made its highly anticipated premiere on HBO. The first episode featured several highlights, revelations, and even a special cameo from English singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran.

Prior to the new season’s official release, HBO already revealed some details on the first three episodes.

The first episode, which was titled “Dragonstone,” featured Jon Snow organizing the defense in the North with the allies of House Stark, Cersei evening the odds with the help of Euron Greyjoy and her brother Jaime Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen going back to Dragonstone to reclaim the her house's ancestral home.

Jon Snow faces a revolt

The next episode has been titled “Stormborn” and HBO has already released a teaser clip after the first episode ended. According to HBO’s early spoilers for the second episode, Jon Snow will be facing a revolt in the midst of his preparations for the upcoming war against the White Walkers.

Based on the preview for “Game of Thrones” Season 7 episode 2, the revolt will most likely be triggered after Jon Snow suggests an alliance with Daenerys because she has the dragon fire and dragon glass they need to use against the White Walkers.

Some of the houses who have sworn their allegiance to House Stark are not keen on teaming up with a Targaryen because of the family's infamous contribution to history.

Daenerys Stormborn's visitors

Meanwhile in Dragonstone, Daenerys will be receiving an unexpected visitor or two and based on the early promotional images from HBO, Olenna Tyrell and even Ellaria Sand will most likely be her guests.

Tyrion and Ellaria haven't met since the latter murdered Tyrion's niece.

However, based on the new “weeks ahead” preview that HBO released for “Game of Thrones,” it might be the Red Priestess Melisandre who will be paying her a visit. Melisandre is expected to play a huge role in this season as she might just be the key person who will make the anticipated alliance between Jon Snow and Daenerys to happen.

Tyrion also gets busy as he spearheads the planning for the conquest of Westeros and the Greyjoys seem to be eager to set off immediately. Asha Greyjoy tries to convince Daenerys' party to hit King’s Landing immediately since they already have a huge army and three dragons but it seems like she won’t be getting what she wants.

The assassin’s direwolf returns

One of the most awaited highlight in the second episode is Arya and Nymeria’s reunion. The preview for the second episode revealed that Arya will run into Nymeria in the woods while heading off to King’s Landing.

The last time fans saw the direwolf was back in season one when Arya had to drive it away to save its life. There are speculations that Nymeria’s appearance will play a pivotal role in Arya’s decisions to turn back and head to Winterfell instead.
