The latest updates and spoilers for "Deadpool 2" will feature a possible appearance at New York Comic-Con and a first look at the mutant mercenary Domino in the movie.

Headlining New York Comic-Con

20th Century Fox did not headline their line-up of "X-Men" films during San Diego Comic-Con as the movie studio dedicated their whole appearance in Hall H for "Kingsman: The Golden Circle." Marvel fans were expecting short teasers for the new "X-Men" films such as "New Mutants," "X-Men: Dark Phoenix," and "Deadpool 2," but to everyone's surprise, it did not happen.

However, there is a chance for Marvel fans to see all-three "X-Men" movies at this year's New York Comic-Con on Oct. 5-8. 20th Century Fox launched the first wave of promotional materials for "War for the Planet of the Apes" during last year's event, and will likely do the same thing with the new X-Men films.

For now, a full list of panels and guests have not been finalized, but it seems that Fox is in position for headlining NYCC this year given the anticipation of the fans for seeing a teaser of "Deadpool 2" during their panel time. Fox will be able to dominate in the event without being overshadowed by Warner Bros. or Marvel Studios.

A first look at Domino

'Deadpool' star Ryan Reynolds posted the first promotional photo of Zazie Beetz's character, Domino in the sequel.

The photo is a reference to the first image of the Merc with the Mouth in the previous movie, which featured Reynold's character laying on a rug in front of a fireplace.

Domino's photo does the same thing only this time Deadpool - or at least his costume - is used as a rug for the mutant character. Beetz's Domino costume will feature her wearing black leather spandex and boots, guns holsters, afro hair and her trademark facial mark.

What is different about Domino's eye mark is that it is white, unlike her comic book counterpart which is black. The reason behind revealed that Domino will likely have vitiligo, a real world disease that was famously associated with Michael Jackson.

Given that this real world disease is an example of mutation, it is rather a fitting display of how Fox wants to make their characters unique in a way they present anomalies like this to the world and they struggle to accept this flaw in society.

Domino is known in the Marvel comics as a mutant mercenary with probability changing powers. She is also an expert marksman and has been a member of the X-Men, particularly its black-ops group, X-Force.

"Deadpool 2" is set to premiere on June 1, 2018.
