"Dancing With The Stars" pro dancers Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy got married this weekend in a lavish three-day wedding that started on Friday, July 7 and concluded on Sunday, July 9. However, they actually said their wedding vows on Saturday, July 8. The couple's six-month-old son, Shai Aleksander, served as prince of honor at his parents' wedding.

The venue

The venue was the perfect place for the wedding because Maks had always loved the Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York. When he showed it to Peta, she knew immediately that's where she wanted their wedding to be.

It was the perfect place for their guests, including family members and friends, to enjoy the festivities.

On Friday, the couple and their guests were treated with a Shabbat dinner and partied at the Oheka Castle. Guests included some of the same people who were also at the actual wedding ceremony on Saturday. Peta danced the night away in a white, satin, strapless over-the-knee sheath dress with matching pumps. The bride-to-be is seen in photos online with her long hair down, but on Saturday it was up under her veil.

Wedding party and guests

The wedding was attended by many dancers from the popular ABC dance competition show where both Peta, 30, and Maks, 37, have been champions. The wedding party included Nicole Volynets Gamer, a former troupe member who doubled as Peta's maid of honor and wedding planner.

Mak's brother and "Dancing with the Stars" pro Val Chmerkovskiy served as best man. Other pro dancers in the wedding party included Tony Dovolani and Sharna Burgess.

Actress Rumer Willis, who won with Maks during Season 20, was among the guests. Also, model Nyle DiMarco, who won with Peta during Season 22, attended the nuptials.

Other "DWTS" guests included Amber Rose, who was Val's partner in Season 23, pro dancer and Val's girlfriend Jenna Johnson, Henry Byalikov, and Candace Cameron Bure.

Peta said she did not want to wear a white dress. Therefore, she chose an old-fashioned ivory wedding dress that came down off the shoulders and had a multi-tiered full gathered skirt that made her look like a fairytale princess as she walked down the aisle on the arm of her father.

Another wedding on another coast

"Dancing with the Stars" judge Julianne Hough married her longtime love, Brooks Laich, on the same day on the opposite coast in Idaho during an outdoor wedding ceremony. They also had a three-day event that began on Thursday night and ended with the reception on Saturday evening. Peta and Maks' wedding officially ends on Sunday with a brunch.
