james kennedy has reclaimed his position at SUR Restaurant after being fired from his gig at the West Hollywood hotspot last year during filming on "Vanderpump Rules" season five. As he and his co-stars, including Jax Taylor, Stassi Schroeder, and Kristen Doute, continue to film the sixth season of "Vanderpump Rules," which will air later this year on Bravo TV, Kennedy and the restaurant have both confirmed his position on Twitter.

As fans will recall, Kennedy was booted from his job as the lounge DJ due to his frequent fights with his fellow staffers and guests at the restaurant.

Although Kennedy certainly did his best to apologize after lisa vanderpump cut him loose, she wouldn't rehire him at the time and cited his drinking as her main issue. As the season went on, Kennedy landed a gig elsewhere and vowed to quit boozing.

While James Kennedy was kept away from SUR Restaurant for several months, he confirmed on Twitter earlier this month that he had hosted an evening at the venue and told fans it was a success. He also specifically thanked Vanderpump and the restaurant. Meanwhile, on June 20, SUR Restaurant's official Twitter page said that while their restaurant would be closed on Tuesday night, Kennedy would be on the turn tables in the lounge.

Is James Kennedy still dating Raquel Leviss?

Throughout the last season of "Vanderpump Rules," Kennedy was accused of being unfaithful to his pageant queen girlfriend both on the show and online, but judging by the couple's latest Instagram posts, they are going strong with no signs of turmoil.

Will Lala Kent join James Kennedy on 'Pump Rules' season six?

As fans will recall, Kent was estranged from nearly all of her co-stars, aside from Kennedy, during "Vanderpump Rules" season five due to their claims that suggested she was dating a married man.

In December, the reality star and singer announced she was done with the show but months later, she reunited with her co-stars to film the season five reunion. In the months since, she's been spending tons of time with her co-stars, including Ariana Madix and Scheana Marie, and has even been spotted working at SUR.

For more of James Kennedy and his co-stars, tune into the upcoming sixth season of "Vanderpump Rules," which will likely premiere sometime in November of this year. Although Bravo TV hasn't confirmed a premiere date, the debut episode of the past few seasons have all aired in November.
