“NCIS” Season 14 fans continue to watch Mark Harmon and the rest of the cast in a deep story. Production of this season started in the late July 2016. This is a clash of the old and new cast of the “NCIS.” Having the three (3) new but experience icons, it evolves the drama series into a new way of delivering the thrill, the suspense, the love and the action to millions of viewers.
New regulars for this "NCIS" Season 14 are Esposito's Quinn who comes on July 11, 2016, Wilmer Valderrama's Torres who replace Weatherly on June 16, 2016, and Duane Henry's Reeves who enter the regulars on July 11, 2016.
Starting the first episode “Rouge” – (After a car explodes, killing a Navy officer, the team discovers that the intended target was his wife – the sister to a deep cover “NCIS” agent investigating a corrupt oil magnate. Meanwhile, Special Agent Quinn shadows the team to figure out the type of agent Gibbs is looking for), catches almost 16 million viewers.
What to expect in the future of “NCIS” characters
Season 14 last till the 24th episode "Rendezvous,” when body parts of a dead Navy SEAL are found in Paraguay, Gibbs, McGee, and Torres travel there to find his colleague and figure out why they broke orders to go there.
The episode ends with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and McGee were left in Paraguay to face a group of rebels).The big thing about this season is that viewers seemed to be destructed or not satisfied with the insertion of the new characters which override the old ones.
What the showrunners are saying about the cast and their role
Well, we just can’t blame the characters nor the showrunners. It is even sad to remember that during the production of this "NCIS Season 14" the showrunner, Gary Glasberg died while in his sleep on September 28, 2016. That is why the writers George Schenck and Frank Cardea was appointed to run the show.
These two guys have been writers of this drama since the beginning of the series. If you look back from that situation, it is a great start for the new showrunners to handle the veteran "NCIS" agents and characters collide with the new cast.
It is just the beginning, isn’t it? Season 15 awaits after this "NCIS" Season 14. "Despite the bushes of some of the viewers, the show must go on, but would it be necessary to lose someone?
This is a great challenge for the new showrunners to prove to the viewers the worth of every character they are adding to the show.
“NCIS” Season 14 Viewers awaits for the rope to be pulled up. Talking about the departure of Quinn is still in the mind of some. No worries, we can still see her as recurring by the way. Quinn or Jennifer is up to a co-starring role for Hannibal Classics “Speed Kills.”
One thing is for sure a new season of “NCIS” is starting to unfold, and hopefully, Mark Harmon will still be in it.
