"NCIS" Season 14 has been renewed for Season 15 and fans were happy knowing that the hit TV series has new stories to tell. However, new reports are making the rounds that Jennifer Esposito has finally bid her goodbyes to the TV series.

Fans of "NCIS" Season 14 were delighted when the producers of the long-running TV series announced that they were adding Jennifer Esposito as a regular cast member in the show. Unfortunately, she will not be part of the upcoming season of the hit TV drama.

Jennifer Esposito shockingly exits 'NCIS'

Apparently, most of the "NCIS" Season 14 fans were unhappy after finding out that Jennifer Esposito would not have been part of the new season anymore.

However, it seems like Esposito already knew that she was going to be written out of the story.

Last Saturday, Esposito has been asked by a fan regarding her thoughts on the producers' decision to write her out of the "NCIS" Season 15 storyline. She promptly answered and said she was doing well and was expecting that Special Agent Alex Quinn would have been written out after all and that she will only star in the Season 14 of the series. "No I am not ill but I so appreciate your concern. Was not meant to be there long but happy I was," Esposito revealed on her Twitter account. "Met some great new friends! Love 2u all."

It can be remembered that Mark Harmon's character, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, asked Quinn to return to the field and be part of his team again.

However, she wanted to become an instructor at a Training Center, which could be the way for her character to exit the story.

Fans even asked on social media whom they could speak to in order for Esposito to have her own TV series. There is no doubt that the fans have already learned to love the character of Esposito, which is why they were saddened by her departure.

Rumors are now making the rounds that the show will have another member to replace Esposito in the CBS drama and crime TV show.

Esposito is glad to be part of 'NCIS'

Meanwhile, Mic unveiled that Esposito is very proud and happy to be part of the long-running CBS drama. She said she had a great experience with the cast and producers and that it was a great opportunity for her.

Fortunately, Esposito has another project and this time, she will star in "Speed Kills" with John Travolta. The movie will be directed by John Luessenhop and the release date is yet to be announced. The film tackles the life of speedboat racer Don Aronow, which will be played by Travolta. Although Jennifer Esposito is not a part of the new "NCIS" Season 15, fans can still catch her on "The Affair."
