A slew of new photos taken on the set of the upcoming superhero team-up movie, "Avengers: Infinity War," has now created a number of new questions regarding the events that will transpire within the upcoming film. As of the moment, the only clear information regarding the plot will be the presence of Thanos as he tries to gather all of the infinity stones to take over the universe. The Avengers along with the world's superheroes, including Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, will have to band together to stop the Mad Titan.

More questions

The recently published set images on Variety's website seems to show some of the Avengers walking around a destroyed city. The heroes showcased in the photos are Dr. Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., Wong, played by Benedict Wong, and Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo. While most fans will likely not get anything from the photos themselves, some eagle-eyed fans had noticed a new detail in one of their outfits that could suggest one possible plot point in the upcoming movie.

Warning: possible 'Avengers: Infinity War' spoilers ahead.

New reactor

There has been an ongoing rumor that has been circulating over the past few days regarding Tony Stark's invention of a new Arc Reactor.

Fans will remember that Stark actually didn't need the reactor in his chest thanks to a surgery that removed the shrapnel from his heart at the end of "Iron Man 3." Stark was even showcased using the Iron Man suit in "Captain America: Civil War" without the need of an Arc reactor in his chest.

However, the new set photos clearly show that Downey Jr.

is wearing an Arc Reactor incorporated into his costume. The actor also posted a photo last week that showed him wearing a shirt with a cut out for what seemed to be for an Arc reactor.

Running theory

Based on the fact that Iron Man may be coming with a new reactor in the upcoming "Avengers" movie, there have been a couple of theories as to why Stark had the need to build one in the first place.

One of the theories is that Stark may be seriously injured once again. Another wild theory suggests that Thanos may utilize the Time Stone to alter history to ensure that Stark remains injured. An even wilder theory suggests that Stark may be in the possession of the Space Stone and has found a way to incorporate it into his suit. As of the moment, most of the theories still remain unconfirmed, which means that fans will have to wait until the movie's release on May 4, 2018.
