Lauri Peterson's son, Josh Waring, has once again found himself in hot water. As he continues to spend time in prison after being accused of Attempted Murder, Waring has been charged with drug possession after he was reportedly caught with a controlled substance behind bars.

On June 21, Radar Online shared a report regarding Waring's latest troubles, which come just one month before the former "Real Housewives of orange county" guest star is set to face a judge and address the attempted murder charge that was brought against him last year. As fans may recall, Waring was arrested and charged with attempted murder after he allegedly shot a 35-year-old man outside of a sober house in Southern California.

In addition to being charged with possession of a controlled substance, Waring is also being accused of being under the influence while incarcerated -- and all just weeks before his attempted murder trial is set to begin. Earlier this week, the District Attorney filed the new charge against Peterson's son and also added a misdemeanor charge for reportedly being under the influence of some sort of substance.

Josh Waring reportedly shot a man in Costa Mesa in 2016

After starring alongside Lauri Peterson on "The Real Housewives of Orange County" for a couple of years on-and-off, Waring was arrested in Costa Mesa after he reportedly shot a man named Daniel Lopez outside of a sober living facility.

According to reports at the time, Waring was allegedly involved in a confrontation early in the day of the shooting with a man who was living at the home and when he returned later, he shot Lopez, who was quickly transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Following the shooting, Waring reportedly fled the scene after stealing a BMW SUV before police responded to the area.

Eventually, however, the troubled former reality star turned himself into police after what was called a "short standoff" with cops. A short time later, Waring was booked at the Orange County Jail on charges of suspicion of attempted murder, battery, and assault, evading authorities, car theft, and hit-and-run with a bail set at $1 million dollars.

Lauri Peterson's son has pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted murder and will face a judge next month when his case goes to trial. Throughout the last few months, the reality star has remained silent in regard to her son's ongoing issues.
